Opera Explainer Video
Opera is already a well-known browser. And always adding cool new features to its browser. So the goal was not to introduce it.
But to highlight a few new Ai features.
With ChatGPT and Gemini inside the browser, users can get help without jumping between different websites, tools, or tabs.
The Challenge
Anyone can make a video saying that our AI features can help you with your daily tasks.
But, showing what those tasks actually look like; and how Ai features within a product can benefit.
The video needed to communicate multiple use cases: asking questions, finding products while shopping, generating images, checking files, getting recommendations, and simply chatting.
The goal was to turn all of that into a simple message: Opera can act like an assistant sitting alongside you while you browse.
The Approach
I looked at how other companies were showing their AI features.
One thing worked well.
Don’t explain the feature first. Show how it helps.
So instead of listing features, I showed Opera helping with real tasks people do every day.
What Worked
The first 5–7 seconds established a familiar environment by showing the extensions, websites, and software people commonly use in their browsers.
The next section demonstrated how Opera’s AI features could reduce friction: helping users find information, make decisions, generate content, and move through tasks without jumping between multiple platforms.
The final seconds brought everything back to the product, using Opera’s familiar visual identity and a clear call to action.
The result was a short explainer built around a practical benefit rather than a list of features: less switching, less searching, and faster access to help when you need it.
The Outcome
The hard part was not animation.
It was choosing what to show and what to leave out.
We had only a few seconds to make people understand several features without making the video feel too fast or too boring.
That required research, scripting, and clear thinking. And also communication with clients.
If people don’t understand what you’re building in the first few seconds, you have a communication problem.
So address that first then move on.
This project shows how motion can make new features easier to understand. Opera already had the product. The challenge was showing people why its AI features matter. If you’re building something people don’t understand quickly, let’s fix that. Book a discovery call below or get in touch to discuss your project.
